WHAT WE DO
Every coach will teach student- athletes with learning disabilities, attention issues, and behavioral needs. Research indicates that approximately 15% of athletes on any team will have a documented or undocumented disability that directly affects their learning, attention, executive functioning skills, and behavior (Grigorenko et al., 2020). However, not all coaches feel adequately educated and equipped to do this well.
That's why The Coach's Ed Project exists.
We introduce coaches to the characteristics of student-athletes with disabilities and offer techniques and strategies that will enable maximum success for student-athletes in their sport.
